Server Technology:

We have multiple servers in our rack, which is located in a private cage at BlueSquare, Maidenhead.

Most are now Dell PowerEdge series machines, though some Supermicro based systems remain (and are being phased out slowly). We run an entirely Cisco Powered Network, with a pair of high availability PIX 515E firewalls fed independantly from our upstream, into a Cisco 3550-24-EMI and then on to our servers.

The side of the system that you don't see is a pair of APC 7920 Switched Rack PDU's allowing us remote reboot facilities on all servers, as well as an Avocent KVM Over IP system for out of band access to our system which is also connected to a rack mounted TFT/Keyboard. There is also a Dell Gigabit switch which is used for our private LAN allowing database access from multiple machines and backups to our NAS system.
